Defend 214

Crossfit 214, a fitness fixture on Ross Avenue, was tagged with graffiti by a group of young people overnight. The gym’s owners tracked down the aerosol artists and invited them to create a proper mural with an homage to East Dallas' former dive bar, The Slip Inn. And so, Defend 214 appeared in the fall of 2015. Crossfit 214 has protected the mural since, as a testament to collaboration of the East Dallas business and arts communities.

The mural can be seen traveling eastbound on Ross Avenue, between Peak and Haskell on the west wall of the gym's second story.
