Community Beer mural featured on new Greenville Ave rooftop
Dallas’ newest rooftop bar includes a mural featuring Community Beer Company by notable artist Michael McPheeters.
Called Eastside Social, it's located at 1928 Greenville Ave., which used to be home to the restaurant Nora.
The mural displays a giant beer can with an old-school Community delivery truck loaded with kegs with the downtown skyline. The mural proclaims the Community tagline “Beer for the Greater Good,” with colorful rays jetting out from behind.
The artistry is located in the communal hand washing area outside the restrooms.
Eastside Social is a casual, no-frills hangout with retro lawn chairs and gliders surrounding a fireplace that's open on all four sides. A wooden arbor spans the rooftop.
On the menu, fried chicken is their specialty, and there’s a daily happy hour. You can grab a frozen drink or a boozy snow cone.
McPheeters has several murals along Lower Greenville, including another new large-scale work at Sam’s Club Now.
